Can You Get Yeast Infections From Being A Vegetari...
So I’ve been on a vegetarian diet for about the last four months (Since August). The first month was fine, but then about mid way through September I’ve been having yeast infection symptoms. I thought at first it might be a STD, but I’ve had a check up with my doctor and told her that I might have a yeast infection or a STD. She checked my pH level and said that it was off a little. So she prescribed a pill, which was a single dose. For about a week my symptoms went away. Then they came back. I’ve read that your diet and some soaps can change your pH level. So I changed my body soap to a more pH neutral soap thinking it was that, but the symptoms are still there. My laundry detergent has been the same even before I started getting the symptoms, so I don’t think that it could be a reaction to that. Then I got to think about it may be the lack of protein in my diet. I mostly get my protein from eggs, cheese, soy and beans, but now I’m wondering if that is enough. I would still like to maintain a vegetarian diet, but if I have to I might start eating meat again to get this cleared up.
